They had me at truffle Parmesan fries.
After a rather strenuous workout at my local trendy-formerly-a-movie-theatre gym, I headed over to Roam Burgers at Union and Octavia. Roam is big on advertising their grass fed beef and a variety of other meats offered on their menu (turkey, bison, etc.). Of course, when I saw truffle Parmesan fries listed as the first ingredient of the “French and Fries” burger, I just had to ask…
“So, what is the ‘French and Fries’ burger?”
“It’s a burger with truffle Parmesan fries, avoca—”
“So the fries are on the burger?”
“Yes, the fries are on the burger…”
So about 10 minutes later I was eating this:
Next time I come here, I want to try one of their bison burgers. Maybe the “Chalet” with Swiss (haha, get it?), mushrooms, watercress (they really do love watercress), or the “Pacific Blue” with Blue Cheese (oh Roam you are so clever), watercress (again) and steak sauce. But in all serious, I really do want to try their milkshakes with bruleed marshmallow topping…
